But in a swift reaction, Kayode Salako in an interview with E24-7 magazine's Biodun Kupoluyi said, ‘‘Bukola is a devil’s agent and please don’t mind her. Yes, she introduced Foluke to me but she should step aside now that we are married. She claimed Foluke is using juju on me, but you know what? If that is true, I, Kayode Salako will know. I’m a real man. But if truly she’s using Juju, I need more of her juju, you know why, she has added value, brought me a lot of blessings.

He recalled how she met Bukola who introduced her to Foluke. “Yes, when I came back from abroad, I met Bukola, then I was lonely, my life was boring and we met. I liked her because she was so passionate about my Fasholamania’s project, she showed a lot of enthusiasm and we got so close, it was at a time my wife was very boring, so I asked her out, but she declined. She told me that she liked me but she would not date me for two reasons:  one that her intentions will be misconstrued, two, it will be a burden on her that she will love me  to the extent that she would love to marry me  but that she had a friend,  an actress, that she’s different from the pack. She gave her name as Foluke Daramola. Really, I never believed her that she could introduce Foluke to me. She’s one of the very few actresses I admired.

Eventually, we met at Mama’s Place. Shortly after she called Foluke to join us and she did. We had fun, wined and dined together. That was all that night.  The rest as they say is history. I don’t know why she’s into this  campaign of calumny now. Why call Foluke names? What has she done to her?  If Foluke is into juju, she should be a millionaire like  some of her colleagues whose lifestyles are well known to us. I met Foluke  a poor  girl with  her sanity and pride  intact. I don’t know what she wants from all these. Foluke’s life is an open book and I like it. I have taken my decision and the action  to live the rest of my life with Foluke and I’m ready to face the consequences of my action.
Foluke not bemused responded. “ I have chosen not to talk but I respect you and your medium and I want to assure you that at the appropriate time, I will grant you an interview. Yes, Bukola came to me, she told me about her project and that she needed money. She believed I have so much that I should be given her now.  But there is one thing about me; my life is an open book. I will not respond more than that. Let her go ahead with her tales. I know I have done no wrong. I appreciate the fact that she introduced me to Kayode but that does not mean she has to continue to call the shot. It’s just important she steps aside now that we are married. That should not hurt.”

Apparently full of biles, Bukola disclosed that Foluke has really offended her. She alleged that she went too far in the romance that led to the marriage. “Foluke is an ungrateful element to me. I actually introduced her to Kayode, who, for a very longtime was my toaster but I told him I could not date him because I was not really interested and there was really no feeling for him. I told him I was not really interested because I was in a relationship. About the same time, Foluke  had asked me to introduce her to someone who could help, so I introduced Kayode to her. I know he spends a lot on women, at least, he was dating a lady Princess Bimbo Olagunju, and he was spending so much to keep the girl. The same Princess knew how much Kayode liked me but I was not interested. So precisely February 13, 2012, I introduced Foluke to Kayode at Mama’s Place in Omole, Ikeja.  I remember that I met Kayode during the  hey days of Fasholamania, his campaign project for Governor Babatunde Fashola. I believed in the project and I knew he was committed to it not because he was getting any money. Anyway, Kayode and Foluke met, they were supposed to date each other but I never advised her to go and destroy Kayode’s home built over 15 years. I know Kayode dated Princess Abimbola currently in Dublin, but she never ventured to destroy his home. They dated for about five years, yes, the wife knew, the heat was so much. They had issues about that but it never got to marrying him and sending his wife away. Princess knew Kayode wanted me, she knew I could displace her but I remained his friend. But because he was always telling us about his home, the areas his wife failed, Foluke worked on it and the result is the marriage which I advised her not to go into.

I have conscience, fine as a friend, I wanted the best for my friend (Foluke), but I know she threatened the home of Kayode, she was calling him at home at odd times, telling him how much she loved him. The next day after they met, he sent N100, 000, that week, he sent more money, about N500,000. The money came at a time Foluke had accommodation problem in Marwa’s Garden, so he secured an apartment for her.

“At a point, I called Foluke that why had Kayode’s wife barely left her home  that you started to sleep in his Omole house? I tried to advise her that she should not marry the guy, that all she should do was get his assistance; I told her she should put herself in the wife’s shoes. Since she realised I was advising her, she withdrew from me, she started to avoid me. Yes, he was having issues with his wife but that was not enough to move in. On few occasions, he insisted he was still in love with his wife. I strongly advised her against such moves but she went ahead with the marriage plans. I remember that even while dating Foluke, he had issues with her, he complained about her lifestyles, that she was a fraudster bla, bla, but as a true friend I have to step in. Kayode had wanted to go away.

‘‘… Yes, I know all she did that the marriage eventually came up, I was actually with her to those places, yes, we went together and I’m waiting for her response and if she responds or denies my claim, then I will go all out to fight her. I’m ready to release all the pictures of the places we went together.  I’m fighting her because she does not have conscience at all, I’m fighting her because she’s a desperado, I’m fighting  her because she’s an ungrateful element. I never collected any money for introducing her to Kayode, ask her if I did but I told her ‘don’t marry this guy, think about his home.’
‘‘Now I’m worried, my conscience is troubling me, I’m worried about the fact that I was indirectly or directly involved in the circumstance that led to the break of Kayode’s marriage. I don’t think Foluke should have gone this far, there are many factors involved, it was not ordinary and I want to  tell the world that she does not deserve that man, I want to tell the world that I’m sorry that I did this to him and his family. I never advised Foluke to marry him; I just wanted him to help her out of her stormy life. I owe Kayode’s wife an apology and I know that I will go to her and say sorry soon. But before then, I owe it a duty to tell the world Foluke does not deserve Kayode and as the friend that introduced her to him, I’m sorry.’’

Asked why she’s spilling the bean, now. She said “I just want the world to know the role I played that I merely introduced her to Kayode to assist her, not to marry him.
“Yes, the wife made some mistakes too; I’m putting all these in a book I’m writing soon. It’s not enough for you to decline the advice or suggestions of your husband on how he wants you as his wife to dress. Why should the wife turn the hubby’s invitation to go out together down? Her claim that she’s a pastor and not cut out to live a life in the social circuit leaves room for the other women to step in. For Kayode, he got carried away, he loves the fact that Foluke brings him to spotlight, that makes him a newsmaker of sorts.

The newlyweds, reportedly checked into the world’s tallest hotel, JW Mariott Marquis Dubai for their honeymoon right after the star-studded wedding reception held in the exotic Royal Island Beach on Saturday March 23, 2013

The couple who had initially lodged in the Burj Al Arab Hotel had to move to the more luxurious hotel, situated in the Business Bay area of Dubai, which is also home to the Dubai Mall, fittingly, the world’s largest shopping center.

When our reporter called 2face’s management to find out when the couple will be back, Head of Now Muzik, Efe Omorogbe, who did not deny the couple’s move to the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai said, ‘I left Dubai since Monday morning and since then, I have had little or no contact with 2face. As far as we at Now Muzik are concerned, he is on holiday and we would like to give him some space and privacy for the time being’.

The Idibias are having the time of their lives, ignoring the criticisms that trailed their lavish white wedding and the equally expensive gifts from friends like Godswill Akpabio and David Mark.

One source close to the couple says they have decided to disconnect from everyone since the wedding so as to enjoy their honeymoon with less distraction.

Only opened a few months ago, the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai Hotel is a 72-storey, 355m (1,165 ft) twin-tower skyscraper complex with 1,608 hotel rooms, run by Marriott International.

With the first tower opened, the hotel comprises 14 food and beverage outlets, rooftop bars, a business center, conference halls and meeting rooms, an extensive banquet hall, spa and health club, as well as retail outlets, a swimming pool, and a gymnasium.

From NET’s investigations, depending on the space and luxury, the room rates per night goes for as low as  1,500 United Arab Emirate Dirham (N64,000) suites,  all the way up to 35,000 Dirham (N1.5m), Penthouse overlooking the skyline.

For now, it is unclear how long the newlyweds will stay in the luxurious hotel, but they could well be spending a fortune putting up in one of the luxurious suites and shopping for some of the nicest things.

Meanwhile, there are strong indications the newly married Mrs Idibia may already be pregnant with her second child and 2face’s seventh. We could not immediately confirm this.

2face and Annie got joined together in holy matrimony at the Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai on March 23, in front of dozens of family members and celebrities.

With this service, you can make a 10-minute call, originating from a US number, to anywhere in over 50 countries. First you dial a local number and listen to a brief advertisement. After the ad, you are prompted to dial the number you wish to call. The downside to using Free Phone2Phone is that the choice of local access numbers is limited. There is not one in my area code. However, if I wanted to use this to call internationally, I could use my cell phone and call any of the access numbers.

4. Free Call

Using their free software download (Windows, Mac, and Linux), you can make up to 300 minutes in free calls per week with this service to anywhere in the United States and a few select countries. Free Call works from your desktop or from your telephone. They also have a mobile app available.

5. InPhonex

This VoIP offers free calling anywhere in the world, with calls as long as you like, as long as you call another InPhonex member. Once registered with a valid email address, you can call PC to PC or PC to phone.

I found many more ways to make free calls using the Internet. Some limited calls to a minute or less. Some required a complicated download and log-in procedure.

That was my attempt at pulling an April Fools prank on you guys. I totally suck at these things. I’ve never pranked anybody before because I lack the creativity it takes to spin up a story and put the elements in motion to carry it through. It’s so bad that even for this I had to dub from Brother Jesse. *covers face in shame*

On the first of April, every year, someone somewhere is trying to play a nasty prank on an innocent person. I mean, pranks can be a bit of fun when you’re not on the receiving end of it but sometimes they can be mean and scary. When we were in Unilag, my friend and her cousin decided to play a prank on his girlfriend. My friend, the agent of doom, called the girlfriend to notify her that her boyfriend had been in an accident. She was so shaken up. She parked her car and took a motor bike from Ogba to the their house. When she got there, she was in tears. She found out she had been “April fool’d” and went crazy. She took a cab home.

That particular prank is deep red on my meanometer if you ask me. I asked around a few people for the worst April Fool’s day prank they’d played or they’ve had played on them and it ranged from mild to absurd.

Another friend said she and her siblings once pranked their dad by telling him that his prized German Shepard had died. I don’t think they were expecting their dad to look like he was heading in the path of the supposedly departed canine. When it looked like he was about to keel over himself, they quickly said “April Fool”

I’ve heard stories of guys who have “pranked” their girlfriends with “I can’t do this again, let’s break up” and then girls who say “Baby, I missed my period”. It’s all fun and games when you’re playing until you realized the person is speaking their “church mind”
Then there are situations when the pranks are played with so many inconsistencies that you just feel sorry for the burgeoning prankster because they’ve clearly not thought it through. Such people people need big hugs because, in the words of my good friend, B, “Nothing looks more foolish than a failed April fool’s prank”

Developing Your Ability to Tackle Challenges

There are only a few things that nauseate me more than eggs. However, I can’t tell you one cogent reason why I find it so irritating. A few years ago, my excuse was that I always imagined a chick was inside the egg and so in the process of biting into the egg, I would bite off the head of the chic and have blood dripping from my mouth. With my mind’s eye I can still see myself sitting at the kitchen table with a few slices of bread on my plate and my cup of tea in my hands gently swinging my legs back and forth as I munched bread and sipped on my tea while the house help shelled the eggs (mine and those of my siblings). My memory of this is quite hazy but I can still see her tossing my egg gently into my plate and saying “eat your egg quick quick before the ‘shicken’ go commot!”. Fearing that there was actually a chick in it, I just took the few slices of bread I had left in my plate and pushed the plate back to her! And so was the ‘seed of disgust for eggs’ sown in my juvenile mind.

The other day, My friend said to me “babes, you have to change your mindset about eggs; you have to learn to think outside the box on this matter!” and I just replied sarcastically “I do not remember being inside any box!” and then she said “you are so firmly inside the box that you do not even realise that you are inside a box!”

And I think this happens to many of us in other facets of life; we are so firmly rooted inside the box that we do not even realise that we are in any box. We are so stuck with our old ways of reasoning and doing things that even when crises comes, we just continue to maintain status quo because we are totally oblivious to the fact that things can be done differently and I think this is the attitude that causes failure most times.

Writer, Clarence Harvey told this story: “One summer as I was packing to spend three months with my relatives at a lake, my dad asked me to take my gold fish with me, because he did not want to have to take care of it all summer. The day after we got to the lake, I decided to become a liberator. I went down to the dock with my fish bowl and gave my fish a little talk. ‘I am going to throw you into this lake,’ I said. ‘You will be free. You will be able to eat very well here and grow up to be a big fish.’ When I put the fish in the water at the end of the dock, it stayed right there. I backed off, thinking the fish was attached to my shadow. But when I moved back to be sure it was gone, it was still right there. I even threw a stone into the water to scare it away, but the gold fish just swam around it. “When I came back after lunch, the gold fish was still there, swimming in the same spot. I sat down and thought that fish should be free. It’s got the whole lake to swim in. Suddenly I saw a huge ripple in the water. Splash!! A big bass swallowed my goldfish. Later in life someone told me that a goldfish, once it has lived in a circumference of a particular size, has been conditioned to think small. It will stay there until it dies- swimming in that particular small circle.“

The truth is that many times we behave like the gold fish; even when we are out of the box (i.e. crises has thrown us out of our comfort zone and nothing is as it used to be) we still try to use yesterday’s abilities and method of reasoning to face today’s problems whereas we may need to take advantage of the new possibilities and space that crises creates, break off unprofitable relationships and change the course of our life; do a total mindset reset and reinvent the wheel (the wheel being us) for those problems to be solved.

Here is an experiment that illustrates this: It is an experiment carried out by Jacques Loeb, M.D., PH.D in which a potted rose bush was brought into a room and placed in front of a closed window. The plant was allowed to dry out, and so the parasites who were previously wingless changed to winged insects. After the metamorphosis, the parasites left the plants and flew to the window and then crept upward on the glass. Because they found out that the plant on which they had been thriving was dead and that they could therefore no longer secure anyting to eat and drink from that source. Thus the only method they could use to save themselves was to grow temporary wings and then fly! If a lesser order of life could grow wings in order to tackle a challenge it faced, it is obvious that defeat comes only to those who refuse to develop their inherent abilities to tackle new challenges.

On the flip side, there are people who use the ‘siddon look’ approach ,whereby they just sit with folded arms watching and believing that time would sort things out but he truth is that time doesn’t solve problems, time only tells the time. If you do not do something about it, you would look back five years down the line and realise that you are still facing the same challenge.

Also, there are people who face challenges and their knee-jerk thought/desire is to return to status quo; which is one of the greatest sins against one’s destiny. A good example is the children of Israel who at every point they were faced with challenges of water or food or enemies, just desired to go back to Egypt and remain slaves. It is important to embrace crises and approach it with a heart of gratitude.

When faced with challenges, gather knowledge on the facts on ground; do not go into denial or trade blames, nor delegate the challenges. Be willing to keep an open mind and be open to doing things differently. Also try to identify attitudes, mindsets and characteristics that lessen your ability to change your thinking patterns.

Another thing that can help you think outside the box in other to tackle new challenges is to read biographies about how people responded when faced with similar situations and adapt their solutions to your current situations. Understand that in solving problems, some people are blessed with the ability to come up with new and creative solutions; so do not feel bad or less intelligent when you read about how others solved similar problems because you keep wondering why your brain could not independently come up with such solutions.

To clean the inside surfaces of the front teeth, the toothbrush should be held vertically and the bristles at the tip (called the toe of the brush) moved gently up and down against each tooth. The Nigerian Idol Season 3 Contestants Paired Up for Last Saturday’s Show

After the sad exits of Danny Angus and Kome, the Nigerian Idol competition Season 3 is now left with just six contestants; Safeeyat, JayFeel, Abasiakan, Efezino, Debbie Rise and Moses.

On Sunday the 10th of March 2013, the competition turned up the heat as contestants sang duets from the hit tracks list from the Nigerian music scene.

First up was Efezino & Abasiakan singing ‘Comforter’s song‘ by Asa and Jeremiah Gyang. The pair flowed beautifully and showed that they were definitely a great match.
The second pair to sing was Debbie Rose & Moses. They sang the smash hit ‘bottom bele‘ by afro pop singer Omawumi and  high life king Flavour. Their performance was definitely fun with a lot of dancing on the stage which made them compliment each other.

The last couple to grace the stage was Sefeeyat & Jayfeel singing ‘Without My heart‘ by songstress Tiwa Savage and Mavin boss Don Jazzy. Overall it was still a great competition and the crowd loved it.

Pesticides affect sperm quality – Experts

Some medical experts in Lagos on Saturday said pesticides and other insect killer chemicals could affect the quality of sperm in men.

They said in  separate interviews in Lagos that low sperm quality could cause sterility.

A consultant gynaecologist at Shalom Hospital, Dr Titi Dairo, said many environmental factors affected sperm quality in men.

According to her, such factors are pesticides and insecticides, which are mostly overlooked by most people as damaging to the sperm producing organ of men.

“Pesticides and insecticides used in controlling insects, pests and rodents have harmful effects not only on a person’s health, but also on the sperm.

“Pesticides and insecticides exposure may affect spermatogenesis leading to poor semen quality.

“Other environmental elements that affect sperm quality include: extended exposure to industrial chemicals like herbicides, pesticides, organic solvents and painting materials.

“Indiscriminate exposure to these elements should be limited, if not avoided because low sperm count and poor sperm quality are the causes of infertility in men,” she said.

A general physician, Dr Ibidun Abimbola, said that over exposure to insecticide used in killing mosquitoes could have harmful effect on the sperm producing organs of men.

“Chemicals from pesticides and insecticides can cause damage, not only to the health, but also to the male reproductive organ.

“Reduction in sperm quality due to several exposures to pesticides and insecticides can result in infertility.”

She listed other factors responsible for low sperm count in men to include work related stress, and lead fumes generated in the manufacturing of small cell batteries.

“Exposure to X-rays should be limited as sperm cells are easily damaged by its gamma rays.

“Sitting for a long period, wearing tight clothing or using a laptop on your lap for a long period may also increase the temperature in your scrotum and reduce sperm production,” she said. (NAN)

Nemanja Vidic eyes FA Cup prize

Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic is setting his sights on FA Cup glory this season as it’s a medal that has so far escaped him.

Vidic hasn’t tasted success in the competition since moving to United from Spartak Moscow for £7m in January 2006, even though he came very close in his first full season at Old Trafford, when United reached the final before losing to Chelsea.

The Blues stand in their way again on Easter Monday as the two sides square up to each other in a quarter-final replay for the right to face Manchester City in the last four at the “new” Wembley.

The revamped venue hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for Sir Alex Ferguson’s men with semi-final losses to Everton and City, and for that reason he does wish it wasn’t their city rivals awaiting them if they get passed Chelsea.

He said: “I would prefer to have a semi-final against Blackpool.

“I want to win the trophy. That is more important than who we play against.

“Obviously City are in the semi-final. That would mean one more step towards a trophy. But first it is Chelsea.

“My aim before every season is to win a trophy.
“You want to be there for the big games and once the season is finished, and you are going home or on holiday, you want to see what you have won.

That is the thing that has always pushed me.

CAN U-17: Eaglets tipped as favourites

A top official of Al-Sadd Sports Club of Doha has tipped Golden Eaglets as a one of the favourites to lift the forthcoming CAN Under-17 Championship to be held in Morocco between April 13-27.

Though the defeat of the Qatari foremost club by the Golden Eaglets last Friday at the posh Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium still rankles some local fans, Mohammed Saeed Al Hassan, an executive with Doha Bank who doubles as the Team Manager of Al Sadd, has shown rare sportsmanship by admitting the superiority of the Nigerian lads.

“We never knew your team is strong,” Mohammed demurred with a smile as he exchanged greetings with Golden Eaglets’ officials.” Of course, we knew the team is good but we never knew they are strong mentally.”

The Golden Eaglets did a Yeoman to earn a hard-won victory against a team that paraded legendary Spaniard, Raul Gonzalez amongst other Qatari national team players.

“This is an important victory for your team and I have no doubt that you will qualify for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup,” the amiable Alhassan further said.”

Nigerians who were at the stadium were equally impressed with the performance of the Golden Eaglets, praying the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) should groom the team into the next level of the national team.

“As a Nigerian, I’m so happy to watch these boys against Al-Sadd,” stated Ilesanmi Ajisafe, the Aquatic Coach at the Aspire Academy of Sports Excellence.” Apart from the fact that they won against a strong team like Al-Sadd, I was impressed with their quality and high level performance.”

Be that as it may, Golden Eaglets’ assistant coach, Emmanuel Amuneke said the players as well as the officials are not getting carried away with the outpouring of praises to the team that has remained unbeaten in 26 matches.

”The truth is that this team has not won anything,” Amuneke proud recipient of the 1994 African Footballer of the Year.” So, we remain focused about our objective and we just want Nigerians to be steadfast with their prayers for these young boys.”
