Manchester United close in on Cristiano Ronaldo deal
According to the Daily Mail, an eventful day at Manchester United took a sensational twist as chief executive David Gill flew out to Spain for talks with Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent.
Many believed the chances of Ronaldo returning to his old club would have been hit by the news that Sir Alex Ferguson is retiring at the end of the season, but this latest report would suggest the move may still be on.
Real Madrid are being tipped for a summer overhaul this year with manager Jose Mourinho supposedly heading for Chelsea – losing their best player in the same transfer window would be a massive blow.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s name will go down in Real Madrid lore after he scored his 200th goal for the club on Wednesday night and did so in only his 197th appearance.
It is an astonishing record and the Portugal captain has always spoken of Sir Alex Ferguson as the man that accommodated his talent so it could blossom fully.
Any deal to take Ronaldo back to Manchester United is likely to be an extremely expensive one, but recent reports have suggested some Old Trafford sponsors are ready to step in and subsidise the deal.

The 26-year-old midfielder has struggled to make a significant impact at Camp Nou, since leaving the Premier League to return to Spain in the summer of 2011, and has been the target of criticism from the Catalan club's fans this year.
After leaving the Emirates Stadium in a £35million deal less than two years ago, Fabregas's contribution to Tito Vilanova's side has been minimal, and he's already been linked with a return to England.
However, it's Arsenal and not Manchester United that were reported as favourites to secure his signature, after suggestions that Arsene Wenger inserted a clause into his initial sale, to say that the Gunners would have first option on re-signing him.
Barcelona still owe Arsenal £5million towards the fee they agreed to pay the north London club, and StandardSport believes they'll be looking to recoup a minimum of £20million for the Spain international, should they decide to let him leave at the end of the season.
Manchester United are looking to make a huge signal of intent, following Sir Alex Ferguson's decision to retire, and will attempt to lure Fabregas to Old Trafford this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2013/14 campaign.
With Paul Scholes having also retired, and question marks surrounding the long-term future of Darren Fletcher, new boss David Moyes will need to address the midfield department, prioritising a partner for Michael Carrick in the middle of the park.

Former Egyptian president in court for retrial
Mubarak’s sons, Alaa and Gamal, were also present on charges of financial corruption.
The retrial was ordered after an appeals court in January accepted both prosecution and defense appeals.
The case has revealed the real difficulties that Egyptians face in attaining justice. The judiciary and security forces are still largely controlled by figures appointed during the former president’s regime.
Mubarak and his former interior minister, Habib el-Adli, were sentenced to life imprisonment last June and became the first ruler to stand trial after being toppled during the Arab Spring.

Glo Picks Omawumi, Others As New Ambassadors
This ends speculations about who and who would make up the new set of entertainers to represent the fastest growing network, just as some old ambassadors were dropped.

Other artistes said to have put pen to paper at the telecoms company’s headquarters in Lagos are Tiwa Savage, Lynxx, Flavour, Burna Boy and Bez Idakula.
P.M.News learnt that the new ambassadors were heavily compensated with mouth-watering endorsement fees ranging from N10million to N20million annually. And their deals cover an initial two years, subjected to renewals.
Already Omawumi, Waje, Lynxxx and Flavour have been showcased in the Glo’s Mobile Number Portability campaigns on newspapers and radio commercials. Others like Naeto C, Bez and Tiwa Savage are being expected to follow suit. And in a matter of weeks, the face of these new Glo ambassadors will dot a lot of billboards nationwide.
With these latest ambassadors, it will bring the number of new artistes engaged as Glo ambassadors to 10. The masked-Afrobeat star, Lagbaja, a few weeks ago joined the likes of P-Square and Sammie Okposo who have signed a deal with them a long time ago.
Also still on board are comedian Basketmouth and some Nollywood stars such as Funke Akindele, Nonso Diobi, Nuhu Aliu and Odunlade Adekola.
For Waje, this could be described as a double blessing. The Glo mouth-watering deal came up few days after she launched her much talked about debut album. “I am so grateful to God for this deal. It shows that more blessings are still coming my way. As for what I will do with the money, it is strictly my personal business,” said Waje who posted on Instagram her goody bag and fingers painted in Glo lemon green colour.
Burna Boy, (Damini Ogulu) was the first to drop the hint of the deal on 3 May via an instagram message that reads: “New Glo deal sweeter Dan a bxxx!!!”. It was followed by a tweet message from his label boss @PeediPicasso: “Album done….Merchandise looking good…Major deals closed”.
Burna Boy, who is yet to release any album, was said to have received an endorsement fee of around N10-15million, alongside goody bag that contains smartphones loaded with airtime and data package.
Though it cannot be officially confirmed yet, P.M.News learnt that some Nollywood stars may have been dropped as Glo ambassadors due to some issues that contradict the telecommunication company’s brand value. This has made the brand to switch over to less controversial, young and vibrant music stars.

David Moyes had planning To Leave Everton For Manchester United
David Moyes says he was planning to stay at Everton next season but could not turn down the chance of becoming Manchester United manager.
Moyes, 50, whose Everton contract expires this summer, agreed a six-year deal to replace Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Scot was set to extend his 11-year stint at Goodison Park before United made their move.
Asked whether he had considered turning down United's approach, Moyes said: "I have to be honest and say no.He added: "I wasn't planning on leaving. My contract was running out but we were planning for pre-season. All we've ever done is keep planning.
"I've got everything ready for next season and the chairman and everyone knows the route we need to take next season. This is a club competing to be in Europe."
Celtic manager Neil Lennon played down speculation linking him with a move to Goodison Park, while Michael Laudrup, another potential target, wants to remain at Swansea.
Moyes, who did not answer direct questions about United, admits he would understand any negativity from Everton fans when he takes charge of his final home game against West Ham at Goodison Park on Sunday.
But he maintains he will be approaching the game like any other in his spell on Merseyside.
He said: "I hope they react the way [they did when] I first stepped in the door. If they don't, I can understand because I'm a fan myself.
"They support their team but I'll stand in the same position and keep everything focused. The big thing is that we finish the season with as many points as we can and there's still an outside chance of Europe."
Premier League champions Manchester United moved for Moyes after Ferguson, who will stand down after more than 26 years in charge at the end of the season, recommended his fellow Scot as his successor.
Moyes says he will happily do the same for Everton and has already discussed the matter with chairman Bill Kenwright.
He said: "I've spoken to the chairman. He asked me and I'll help as much as I possibly can.
"It has been very difficult. I have great respect for the chairman and have a great relationship with him. He is a really good guy. We had a difficult meeting on Wednesday but he totally understood.
"Walter Smith [Moyes' predecessor] recommended me for the job and if there's anything I can do to help Bill Kenwright and Everton then that's what I'll do."
Everton have only finished outside the top half of the table in two of Moyes' 10 full seasons in charge and are sixth in the table with two games of the current campaign remaining.
He said he was proud of the progress the club had made over the past decade.
"I'm disappointed to be leaving such a great club. The club has been such a great part of my life," he added.

Struggling Nokia bets on $99 smartphone
Nokia chief executive Stephen Elop released the $US99 Asha 501 touchscreen internet-enabled model at a global launch in New Delhi that especially targets emerging market users moving up from their no-frills first mobile phones.
India, the world's second-largest mobile market after China, "is very important" for Nokia, Mr Elop told reporters, fresh from a bruising meeting in Helsinki earlier this week with shareholders unhappy at Nokia's poor earnings.
The country of 1.2 billion people, Nokia's second-biggest market in 2012, is a "bellwether market that is a very leading indicator of some trends", he said.
The Asha 501 borrows some of its looks from Nokia's higher specification Windows-based Lumia phone and is aimed at stopping consumers embracing Google's Android software offered on cheaper handsets made typically in China.
Mr Elop, who took the reins of Nokia three years ago and is facing demands from shareholders to review his controversial move to switch over to Microsoft's Windows software, declined to comment directly on Nokia's financial performance.
Nokia, which reported a $US355 million first quarter net loss, is struggling to recover ground in the smartphone line after its number of smartphones sold worldwide fell by 49 per cent in the first quarter.
Analysts say the once-global leader's future may lie in selling budget smartphones in emerging markets such as India and Africa where penetration is still relatively low.
But the Finnish company faces stiff competition from Apple and Samsung as well as from Chinese and Taiwanese handset makers.
It is seeking to ramp up its smartphone portfolio in the sub-$US100 smart phone market which the company estimates will be worth $US15 billion globally by 2015.
The Asha 501 - Asha means "hope" in Hindi - claims to offer 17 hours of talk time and 48 days of standby time. Nokia will start shipping the device to vendors worldwide in June and the phone will be available in 90 countries.
The new phone "raises the bar for what is possible in affordable smartphone design," Nokia mobile executive vice president Timo Toikkanen said.
The Asha 501 will initially be a 2G phone "as 80 per cent of the world operates in 2G environment", said Mr Elop, but Nokia will widen the range to include 3G phones as well.

In February, Ed Woodward, the incoming chief executive, said there was plan in place for when the Scot did step down.
Regarding his decision, Ferguson said: "The decision to retire is one that I have thought a great deal about and one that I have not taken lightly. It is the right time. It was important to me to leave an organisation in the strongest possible shape and I believe I have done so. The quality of this league winning squad, and the balance of ages within it, bodes well for continued success at the highest level whilst the structure of the youth set-up will ensure that the long- term future of the club remains a bright one.

The sudden nature of Ferguson's departure is in keeping with how the Scot stated he would leave the post after he trailed a first retirement during the 2001/2 season before performing a U-turn.
It is understood he gathered the players in the first team changing room shortly after they arrived for training at Carrington on Wednesday morning. In an emotional speech he announced he was to step down. He then took his backroom staff aside before finally addressing the rest of the staff in the canteen.
Any successor to the Scot would be required by the club to have extended experience of managing in the Champions League, as well as expertise in handling a large budget and squad. These criteria would appear to rule out David Moyes, the Everton manager, with at least one senior executive unsure about his candidacy, despite Ferguson being an admirer – though earlier in the week bookmakers slashed the odds on him joining United, possibly as member of the backroom staff, this summer.
Other managers who may be of interest to United would include Real Madrid's José Mourinho, though he appears favourite to take over at Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp, whose Borussia Dortmund team are in the Champions League final, and Malaga's Manuel Pellegrini.
Ferguson will be a strong voice in any replacement for him and whether he would endorse Mourhino is unclear. When Charlton, a United director and one of those instrumental in bringing Ferguson to the club from Aberdeen in 1986, was asked last year if the Scot admired the Portuguese, he said: "He doesn't like him too much, though."
It is thought that Mourinho's histrionics and the temporary nature of his career in which he has consistently moved around clubs is not considered desirable by United. However, he has claimed league titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain and has twice won the Champions League – the same count as Ferguson.
While United will be keen to replace Ferguson as soon as possible, the club will not be rushed with the ideal scenario being that the next manager should be appointed before the three week summer tour to Australia, Japan and the Far East in early July.
Joel Glazer, joint chairman of the Manchester United board, said: "Alex has proven time and time again what a fantastic manager he is but he's also a wonderful person. His determination to succeed and dedication to the club have been truly remarkable. I will always cherish the wonderful memories he has given us, like that magical night in Moscow.

David Gill the outgoing chief exectutive, said: "I've had the tremendous pleasure of working very closely with Alex for 16 unforgettable years – through the treble, the double, countless trophy wins and numerous signings.
"We knew that his retirement would come one day and we both have been planning for it by ensuring the quality of the squad and club structures are in first class condition.
"Alex's vision, energy and ability have built teams – both on and off the pitch – that his successor can count on as among the best and most loyal in world sport.
"The way he cares for this club, his staff and for the football family in general is something that I admire. It is a side to him that is often hidden from public view but it is something that I have been privileged to witness in the last 16 years.
"What he has done for this club and for the game in general will never be forgotten. It has been the greatest experience of my working life being alongside Alex and a great honour to be able to call him a friend."
First-team coach Rene Meulensteen revealed how Ferguson broke the news to his backroom staff on Wednesday morning. "(I found out) this morning when I came to the club," he said on Sky Sports News. "He called us into his office and he said what decision he took. It's always been on the cards - there's speculation every season. I think the manager kept his cards close to his chest. I think he felt the time was right now and he made a decision.
"He's obviously a man who thinks very, very well so I'm sure he's taken a lot of thought into making this decision. I wish him well. He's been fantastic for this club and I hope all the fans give whoever's going to come in the same support that he gets.

Vic treasurer talks up 'careful' budget
TheVictorian treasurer has talked down the possibility of any nasty budget surprises and remains tight-lipped on whether he will deliver his promised surplus.
Michael O'Brien will hand down his first budget as treasurer on Tuesday. It will be the coalition's third since winning office.
He is expected to announce funding for major projects including the East West Link road connecting the Eastern Freeway and Western Ring Road.
"Major infrastructure is something that we do need to progress," Mr O'Brien said on Friday.
"We will certainly have more to say about major infrastructure projects on Tuesday."
The treasurer has also pledged that public servant jobs are safe, confirming no further cuts beyond the 4200 already announced over the last two years.
Asked if Victorians should brace for a tough budget, he said, "This is a difficult time for government in terms of budgeting.
"But because we've been really careful with managing Victorians' finances we will be able to have some very strong announcements.
"We won't spend money we don't have."
Shortly after becoming treasurer in March, Mr O'Brien said the budget should be run at a minimum $100 million surplus, even in lean economic times.
On Friday he said he would deliver a careful budget.
"We will be seeking to make sure this is a responsible budget," he said.
"You cut your cloth to fit, you be responsible in managing people's finances and you make sure you strengthen the economy."
Australian Industry Group Victorian director Tim Piper says the government could afford to lift spending without jeopardising the state's triple-A credit rating.
Shadow treasurer Tim Pallas said the government shouldn't again dip into taxpayers' pockets to boost its coffers, with Victorians already paying increased fees and fines.
"They have basically squeezed the taxpayer dry when it comes to finding alternative revenue sources," he said.
The government has already revealed millions in spending for health, roads and out-of-home care for the state's most vulnerable children.
Health Minister David Davis said there would be more than 860 new doctors and nurses under a $238 million training boost in Tuesday's budget.
The funding package includes $194 million for undergraduate training to provide a significant boost in clinical placements for nursing, medical and allied health students.
There is also $42 million for postgraduate training, which will inject 860 new doctors and nurses into the health system.
Victorian Council of Social Services' acting chief executive Carolyn Atkins said the government should invest in affordable housing for the disadvantaged, improved education outcomes for vulnerable children and better mental health services outside the city.

Real Madrid beat Real Valladolid 4-3 thanks to two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, but the former AC Milan star – who was also on the scoring sheet on Saturday – says the defence still has a lot of work to do to improve its efficiency.
“We conceded three goals at home; that is not normal and we do not like it,” Kaka said after the game.
“The entire defensive system is to blame, but these are things to improve.”
Real Madrid’s defence has shown visible signs of sloppiness lately. Galatasaray, Borussia Dortmund and Real Valladolid have all scored a minimum of three goals against Los Blancos in the last 30 days.
These mistakes at the back have proved to be costly for Jose Mourinho’s boys, who had to bow out of the UEFA Champions League after losing 4-3 on aggregate to Dortmund in the semi-finals.
Their Champions League elimination, influenced by a stunning 4-1 defeat at the Signal-Iduna-Park, left rude scars on the players till this weekend. Therefore, securing three points in La Liga on Matchday 34 was a vital way for them to boost their morale.
“It was a tough game after a playoff,” Kaka admitted.
“We thought it was possible to make it to the final [of the Champions League on April 30], but we could not, and playing four days later [in La Liga] is not easy.
“But we once again showed our ability to make a comeback against a great Valladolid.”

The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, announced this at a news conference on the release of the results in Bwari, FCT, today Friday May 3rd.
The registrar said after thorough processing of answer scripts of the candidates who sat for the examination, the board discovered some forms of malpractice perpetuated during the conduct of the examination.
“However, the results of 68,309 candidates from various centres are undergoing further screening to ascertain the culpability of 12,110 candidates’ results.
A total of 1,629,102 candidates applied to sit for the Paper Pencil Test (PPT), while 15,008 candidates applied for the Dual Based Test, bringing the number of candidates to 1,644,110.
“The general performance of candidates in this year’s examination shows remarkable improvement compared with last year.
“Ten candidates scored 300 marks and above, while 127,017 candidates scored between 1-159 marks.
“About 40,692 candidates’ results were invalid due to either multiple shading or no shading at all. After processing all the results, the board also discovered that about 47,974 candidates were absent.“
The registrar assured the candidates that their results could be accessed on the JAMB Website: www.myjambresult.com using their registration numbers.
He said about 40 centres would be screened to ascertain their culpability and warned the public against Internet fraudsters.
Information reaching JAMB shows Internet fraudsters are already telling candidates that their results could be upgraded in one form or the other. This is pure deceit, the public and candidates are hereby advised to disregard these fraudsters since they do not have access to our data.
Let me once again state that candidates are allowed to change their choices of institutions and courses once only, this change has to be effected within two weeks from today.
Ojerinde said the Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to take place from May 18 to June 1 and appealed to candidates to reprint their e-registration slips afresh to further ascertain their CBT centres.

Ay Comedian Writes To Defend Chioma over Vanguard’s Yemisi
Like most Nollywood stars, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha is not given to pretence. She’s always ready to vibrate and return fire-for-fire.
Last Sunday evening was not different. Following the frustration and exhaustion that greeted everyone after the AMAA awards and the endless wait at the Port-Harcourt International Airport, Chioma boarded the evening flight back to Lagos, however something happened!
Vanguard reports that a quarrel ensued between Chioma and a Lagos based female journalist, Yemisi Suleiman (who was trying to interview her), which caused the actress to loose her temper in a manner that attracted the attention of everyone on board.
Chioma claimed that the journalist was rude to her, adding that most painfully, she “called me Igbo bitch and all that’. I wouldn’t blame her because AMAA brought us together. I can conveniently pay her salary,” she fumed.
A colleague of mine just said and I quote “I think Chioma needs to work on her anger issues especially in public…you will recall that she was the same person that disgraced herself even with fellow stars at the Gulder ultimate search for celebrities a few years back.”

Recalling what happened between Chioma Akpotha and Yemisi (The Vanguard reporter) on the AMAA flight from Port Harcourt, one would have expected a cultured woman to be contrite and apologize forthwith, since everybody is error-prone. I crave your indulgence to say this not because the former is a movie star and the latter a journalist. More so, I dread not to raise my voice for the truth and my compassion against injustice.
It was quite unfortunate to read a report from today’s Vanguard Online in favour of Yemisi (their staff), as against Chioma Akpotha who was publicly insulted alongside every Igbo speaking individual on that flight, by Yemisi. Besides, if some of us do have the franchise to suffer disharmony with our personal values, I still want to believe that in reporting a case, Professional Journalism should keep it quite professional by not identifying with any side in an issue of this manner. But this is obviously not the case of the Vanguard reporter who wrote the story between Chioma Akpotha and Yemisi. The reporter in question has proven to me that fiction can sometimes make a better job of the truth and an exaggerated relativism.

Smarting from the frustration and exhaustion that greeted everyone after the AMAA awards and the endless wait at the Port-Harcourt International Airport, Chioma boarded the evening flight back to Lagos, determined to cause another stir on board”.

I am 100 per cent convinced that even a blind reader could perceive that your biased and fully loaded rifle was well targeted at the Nollywood actress from the very beginning of your report. My dear journalist (the almighty one with the ability to make and kill the career that was given by God), what happened to being objective and giving equal space to all sides in your news gathering?
So the best you could do to justify your false report was to hide the identity of the Vanguard reporter by concluding thus: “A quarrel ensued between herself and a Lagos based female journalist, which caused the actress to loose [sic] her temper in a manner that attracted the attention of everyone on board. But for the fact that she was on board, the visibly angry Chioma would have done the unexpected.
She claimed that the journalist was rude to her, adding that most painfully, she “called me Igbo bitch and all that’. I wouldn’t blame her because AMAA brought us together. I can conveniently pay her salary,” she fumed. Who cares!”
Now would you really like to know who cares? AY cares! And yes I was on that same flight like many other industry people including a good number of foreigners who flew in to be a part of AMAA 2013.
The poor Chioma only succeeded in getting her multiple visa of becoming a “lousy bitch” when Yemisi was brushing through the president of Eko International Film Festival, Mr. Hope Obioma Opara. She was obviously in a hurry to make the exit when the flight touched ground. All Chioma said to her was “take it easy they are yet to open the exit door”.
She brushed her way through to two other ladies who sat in front; the next word that came out of her mouth was “lousy Igbo girls”. Apparently, Chioma heard what she said and asked “did you just refer to me as a Lousy Igbo girl? The best response from your Yemisi was “what if I did?” (I am so sure she wouldn’t ask an Angelina Jolie or a Kim Kardashian that same question if she were to be on the same flight with any of them).
Perhaps she would have started twitting immediately, saying “AMAA things…. Kim just asked me to take it easy, they are yet to open the exit door. Wow wow wow 2013 my year of exit opening doors”). But definitely not to a Nollywood multiple awards winning happily married actress with kids. Chioma Akpotha, Grace Ama, and Nollywood producer Chinwe Egwuagu were still busy playing catch-up with Yemisi when she went on target again like the Boston Bombers to launch another verbal bullet.
This time she called them ‘LOUSY BITCHES’.
Chioma Akpotha managed to get off the bomb scene through the help of some of us who were on hand to stop the detonation of further bombs by Yemisi. Not even knowing she was a journalist from The Vanguard Newspapers, Chioma said “I will allow my God to fight you. It’s even possible that it is an Igbo person that is paying your salary. I wouldn’t blame you because AMAA brought us together. I am sure that I can convincingly pay your salary”.
For your information, Chioma Akpotha did not deserve all she got from your colleague ‘Yemisi’, whom you have proudly disguised or baptized to become a Lagos based Journalist. Who knows? Maybe by tomorrow “Miss Lagos based Journalist” could go through another baptism of fire to become “According to a reliable source”, all in the name of bringing down a fellow creation to the excitement of your colleague who ought to go to God and ask for forgiveness.
I hope she did not forget to let you into the corrective measures I gave to her? I am not a fan of anyone with uncultured attitude and public display of visible arrogance. Kindly ask her to remind you, so that I will not fail to be on your list of the next set of career-killing candidates. Or should I tell you the opinion of others concerning Yemisi on that same flight?
I guess there won’t be any need for that, because I am very sure of us having many more LOUSY BITCHES cut across the Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Ghanaians, South Africans and Americans on that AMAA flight. I would intentionally skip the question of the speedy hibernation in tribal cocoons, which is indeed unfortunate even as we try to push for a more detribalized mindset. (Please don’t mistake me for an Igbo man or take it that I am fighting for my “IGBO LOUSY BITCHES”. I am a full-blooded Yoruba Man like Yemisi)
Finally, my dear Madam Yemisi, kindly permit me to point out that contrition is a sign of strength, not weakness. To my “Amiable honorable I must defend my colleague till death”, I would like to plead with you in your capacity as a widely followed public reporter, to kindly grant objectivity its rightful place in your reports.
‘A lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.’ But three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. May we bear in mind that the Internet and social media have come to stay. We now have millions of followers who would at least hear our own side of the story before we are judged or criticised.

Bomb fraud blows up in conman's face
James McCormick made an estimated STG50 million ($A76.22 million) from selling the devices, which prosecutors said were based on a novelty golf ball finder and had no scientific basis.
Last week, a jury at London's Old Bailey found the 57-year-old guilty of three counts of fraud.
Passing sentence at the court on Thursday, judge Richard Hone said McCormick's "callous confidence trick" had likely cost lives.
"I am wholly satisfied that your fraudulent conduct in selling so many useless devices for simply enormous profit promoted a false sense of security and in all probability materially contributed to causing death and injury to innocent individuals," he said.
The Advanced Selection Equipment devices were marketed to governments and security organisations in glossy brochures which claimed they could find explosives, drugs, ivory and even people.
McCormick is believed to have made around STG37 million from sales to Iraq alone, although other customers included Georgia, Niger, Belgium and even the United Nations, for use in Lebanon.
The businessman, from Somerset in southwest England, told the court he had also sold detectors to the Egyptian army, Kenyan police, Hong Kong's prison service and Thai border control.
He said one of them had been used to check a hotel in Romania before the visit of a US president in the 1990s, and insisted: "I never had any negative results from customers."
However, the prosecutor told the jury that McCormick had based his designs on 300 Golfinder novelty machines that he bought from the United States between 2005 and 2006.
Colour-coded "sensor cards" - orange for explosives, blue for drugs and red for humans - were slotted into the machines to make them "work".

Will Cristiano Ronaldo leave Real Madrid?

When looking at whether he will leave, the football world is unable to get away from the constant speculation of him joining his old club Manchester United. This could be a possible move for Ronaldo due to his strong links with Sir Alex Ferguson. It was seen when the two sides clashed in the Champions League that Ronaldo did not wish to celebrate when he scored, while it was said that he visited the Red Devils' changing room after the game to talk to his former team-mates.
Furthermore, with the recent link to PSG, Manchester United have reportedly spoken with Ronaldo’s agent in a bid to see off a potential move to get the 28-year-old back. Therefore, if the rumours are true, the Red Devils with Ferguson leading the fight could see the return of Ronaldo allowing for United to maybe have that attacking force in Europe that they missed this year.
It can be argued that Ronaldo may join another team other than Manchester United such as Chelsea or indeed the new contenders PSG, especially if Jose Mourinho agrees to join either club this summer.
So, does everything point to a departure for Ronaldo? That may not be the case. Ronaldo has been known to love Real Madrid since he was a boy and that was part of the reason he moved to the club from Manchester.
So, regardless of the rumours that he has just denied a contract extension, he could still stay at the club. Furthermore, as a footballer, Ronaldo will want to stay at the club to try and push for the Champions League title next year, which the club has not won since 2002.
Also with the competition of Lionel Messi in La Liga, he may also want to stay at the club to take the crown away from the Barcelona star.
As Messi has beat Ronaldo to the prestigious Ballon d’Or for four consecutive years running, he may wish to beat him in La Liga rather than moving abroad. Conversely it is argued that Ronaldo would be the best in the Premier League and therefore not have the shadow of Messi constantly hanging over him - potentially paving the way to Ballon d’Or success.
Overall it’s hard to judge where Ronaldo will be next year. However, what we do know is that his decision will either shock or surprise as his future remains unclear.
