Manchester United will make a move for Italy International Andrea Candreva if they miss out on Barcelona starlet Thiago Alcantara.

Candreva impressed while on international duty at the Confederations Cup, though Manchester United are not the only club reportedly following him.

David Moyes may well have to change his transfer plans as Thiago Alcantara has told Barcelona he would prefer a move to Bayern Munich over Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho has insisted he is a better manager than when he first arrived in England, as he embarks on his second spell in charge of Chelsea.

The Portuguese said his time in charge of Inter Milan and Real Madrid has given him a wealth of experience that will only benefit him on his return to Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that players like Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney and Gonzalo Higuain are all realistic transfer targets for the Gunners.

He insisted Emirates Stadium officials were doing all they could to recruit some more world class players, but asked for patience from the fans as negotiations can take time.

Manchester City will try and land PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a cut-price deal, after missing out on Edinson Cavani.

The Sweden international could be available for as little as £17million this summer, but Real Madrid are also in the hunt.

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to put together a deal for want-away Aston Villa striker Chrstian Benteke, but are refusing to meet the Villains asking price of £25million.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will table an offer in the region of £20million for the 22-year-old, despite Villa’s stance that any bid under their valuation will be dismissed immediately.
