Ghanaian Stars join Sexiest in Nollywood ‘Quest’
Since ‘Sexiest In Nollywood’ started in 2008 there has never been an inclusion of movie stars from other climes except from Nollywood. The first two editions which had Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo and Mercy Johnson (for Sexiest Woman 2008) and Jim Iyke, Emeka Ike and Desmond (for Sexiest Man 2008), then Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji and Chika Ike (for Sexiest Woman 2009) and Desmond Elliot, Chidi Mokeme and Richard Mofe-Damijo (for Sexiest Man 2009) never had contenders from the Ghanaian movie industry even though there was always request by members of the public to have the Ghanaians stars included in the ‘quest’.
Since this edition started the requests never ceased to come. The argument of the enthusiasts is that since most of the Ghanaian stars feature in Nollywood films they should be included.
Some even argued that some Ghanaians have become more popular in Nollywood films than most Nigerians. Whether this is true or not, the public opinion has won the day and we have decided to include them in the ‘quest’.
Here are some top Ghanaian movie stars showcased for you to vote in your nominees.
